Bahrain Takes Pride in Excellence
An exhibition about the the FIA Institute Centre of Excellence programme was erected in the vending area of the circuit.

The Bahrain International Circuit organised a number of activities over the Grand Prix weekend in recognition of its selection as the FIA Institute Centre of Excellence for 2007.

Talal Al Zain, BIC Chairman, utilised the official Grand Prix welcome party on Thursday 12 April to make the announcement. Speaking outside the Toyota and BMW motorhomes in the paddock, Al Zain was delighted that Bahrain’s efforts to develop a top-class, safety-focussed circuit facility have been recognised by this award.

Meanwhile, in the vending area of the circuit, a special Centre of Excellence marquee was erected and remained for the entire Grand Prix weekend. The marquee contained an exhibition about the Bahrain facility, the FIA Institute and the Centre of Excellence programme.

Elsewhere, a flag of the Centre of Excellence logo was hoisted alongside the Bahrain national flag and another flag representing the Bahrain Motor Federation.
