The four day symposium
will examine all aspects of safety in motor racing from a scientific
angle. Around 100 delegates are expected to attend.
They include
FIA Institute fellows and research group members, Chief Medical
Officers from all the major FIA Championship
events and other US championships, international motor sport
doctors, and various motor sport safety experts. The ICMS
is an association of motor sport doctors and many of the
fellows of the FIA institute are also ICMS members.
The delegates
will be introduced to the Symposium with a special welcome from Father Phil DeRea
representing the Vatican.
The conference itself will be split into four sessions with
talks led by chief medical officers and other advisors working
in motor sport.
