Sporting Commissions

The WMSC is assisted by specialised Sporting Commissions and Working Parties.

The President and members of the Commissions are elected each year by the General Assembly upon proposal of the WMSC. The various Commissions comprise FIA members and, where appropriate, representatives from manufacturers, circuits, etc.

The Commissions often mirror the FIA championships, developing proposals for regulations in each series. There are, however, other FIA Commissions that cover all series, such as the Safety Commission and the Environmentally Sustainable Motor Sport Commission.

The International Karting Commission has a specialised set of working groups, and its own administration, and develops karting activities across the world under the supervision of the WMSC.
